Mobile systems for binding agents

BTA bitumen tank trailers

The schäfer-technic bitumen tanks trailers BTA can transport all usual road binding agents such as bitumen and bitumen emulsion UN3257/3256.

On the construction site they can be used as mobile storage tanks. Tank capacities are available up to 30,000 liters and can be equipped with different heating systems.

The construction of the tank can be built and as a fixed structure or as an interchangeable system for trucks without technical cutbacks.

 

The pump unit fulfills all functions such as filling, circulating, draining and, if required, a dosing function.

The trailer tanks can be equipped with a built-in power unit. An self-sustaining diesel engine provides the pump unit as well as the heating system independent of a drawing unit.
The indirect heating system gently heats up the binding agent and can be realized using an electric oil burner or an automatic gas heating system.

The binding agent is kept carefully at the set operating temperature and can thus be used at any time for processing on the road construction site.

PREPARATION FOR LAYER BONDING FOR ASPHALT APPLICATION

A secure bond between the individual asphalt layers is a key requirement to ensure asphalt structures have a long service life. A full and permanent bond ensures that the asphalt layer structure can support the required loads in the long term. 

With a wide range of different equipment options for every site size and requirement, schäfer-technic can supply the right machine. As well as bond coat sprayers, SKS machines or a combination are suitable for this kind of method. Bitumen tank trailers transport and store the binding agent.

SURFACE DRESSING AND SEALING

Surface dressing involves applying a hot binding agent or bitumen emulsions, and then spreading coarse aggregate. Bond coat spraying can also be carried out with a bitumen sprayer and chippings can be added in a separate operation. Alternatively, a single combined machine can carry out both of these functions. 

As well as surface dressing machines, schäfer-technic supplies bitumen sprayers, chip spreaders and repair trains for these kinds of applications.
